What is your role at Mid-Cape? I am a Service Desk Associate.
What led you to a career with Mid-Cape? I live about a mile away from the South Dennis location & for eight years I drove by on my way to work. Every time I drove by, I wondered what it would be like to work there. One day I decided I needed to work on that work life balance thing and applied at MCHC & the rest is history.
Describe Mid-Cape in three words: Family, Exciting & Supportive
What is your biggest accomplishment at Mid-Cape so far? It may sound so simple but my biggest accomplishment has been building relationships with the contractors. It’s a great feeling when they come in and it’s no longer just a transaction.
What is something working at Mid-Cape has taught you? Mid-Cape has thought me so much about the home improvement business. Although I have been in the industry a 2×4 was still just a 2×4. I couldn’t explain the difference between Mahogany, Fir & Pressure Treated. Now I Can!!!
So far, what has been your favorite memory at Mid-Cape? My first day at Mid-Cape (both stores) has been my favorite so far. Although it was a little overwhelming, everyone was very welcoming.
What does the Mid-Cape Experience mean to you? Learning and adapting to change. There’s always something new, whether it’s product, procedures or people. It’s definitely a learning experience.
What’s the greatest bit of advice a Mid-Cape team member has ever given you? To never be afraid to ask for help.
What is one important skill every person should have? A sense of humor.
What is one of the things on your bucket list? To travel the world. Maldives would be my first stop!
