What is your role at Mid-Cape? I am the Product Manager for Millwork
What led you to a career with Mid-Cape? I had purchased a home on the Cape in 2006. I spent weekends here for a year and met someone through a mutual friend. After dating for 2 years and commuting back and forth from Milford, MA to spend time together, I decided it was time to make a move but needed full-time, year-round employment. I saw an ad online for a Marketing Asst. I was interviewed and hired a few weeks later! Mid-Cape allowed me to make the move and I’m happy to say that person became my husband.
Describe Mid-Cape in three words: Relationships/Evolving/Partnership
What is your biggest accomplishment at Mid-Cape so far? In 2016, I was on the BRICC Awards Committee through the HBRACC. I was responsible for getting the actual award created. I reached out and partnered with the Frying Pan Gallery in Wellfleet to fabricate the logo and had our Custom Millwork Shop mill the frame. The award was well received but more importantly, Mid-Cape got great exposure and HBRACC personally thanked several employees who helped in the assembly of the awards. I was happy to be a part of showing our customers and competitors the services that we can deliver.
What is something working at Mid-Cape has taught you? Understanding the loyalty of our Cape Cod customers (and off Cape). That relationships are key to any business. Our customers can purchase building materials from a variety of other companies on the Cape, but more than likely they will buy from the people they like and trust.
So far, what has been your favorite memory at Mid-Cape? My first trip to the LMC Buying Show. It was a great learning experience and a lot of fun!
What does the Mid-Cape Experience mean to you? I think it means that whether you are a customer, employee or vendor, we all possess “experience” in what we do which in turns leads to a better experience for all involved.
What’s the greatest bit of advice a Mid-Cape team member has ever given you? To always move forward and see the possibilities ahead.
What is one important skill every person should have? Respect
What is one of the things on your bucket list? To spend 2 weeks in a Villa in Italy with my family & friends.
