What is your role at Mid-Cape? Inside sales support for our roofing and siding specialists.

What led you to a career with Mid-Cape? I had gotten let go from a competitor and was working in the restaurant business when my dad told me Mid-Cape was hiring for a gate guard in Orleans and I should apply. I did and three days before I started Marie Hanson called me and told me I was going to be working out of South Dennis as a driver/forklift operator. I haven’t looked back since.

Describe Mid-Cape in three words: Busy, Friendly, Family

What is your biggest accomplishment at Mid-Cape so far? Moving up in the company. Moving from the yard to the customer service desk in Wellfleet, to inside sales support for David Guilderson, to contractor sales in Orleans, to inside sales support for roofing and siding.

What is something working at Mid-Cape has taught you? That sometimes patience is key.

So far, what has been your favorite memory at Mid-Cape? I have more than one favorite memory. Russ Goss (an old employee) told me that working with me in the yard was like working with my father. I said thanks, even though I wasn’t sure if that was a compliment or not. Another one was driving a truck in the fourth of July parade in Orleans. It was very sentimental for me as my father had driven in parades and I would always ride in the passenger seat with him.

What does the Mid-Cape Experience mean to you? To be able to provide every customer with the best service possible. Make sure they leave happy.

What’s the greatest bit of advice a Mid-Cape team member has ever given you? That it doesn’t matter how fast you get something done just as long as it is correct and always ask questions if you aren’t sure of something.

What is one important skill every person should have? To keep a positive attitude. I know that it is easy to get stressed out and overwhelmed, but being positive has a huge impact on our customers.

What is one of the things on your bucket list? To go to the coast of Ireland.
