How many years have you worked in Kitchen & Bath Design?

I have worked at Mid Cape Home Centers since 2015, sitting in all the Kitchen & Bath department chairs, learning all aspects of kitchen and bath design.  Mid Cape has provided multiple trainings throughout my stay here, allowing me to advance in the field.  Independently I have pursued trainings that enhance my knowledge of the field.   I am a Certified Aging-in Place Specialist which is essential knowledge when planning home renovations for safety and multi-generational families.

What year did you start at Mid-Cape?

I joined the Mid-Cape team on August 31st, 2015.

What is your favorite part about your job?

I love working with our customers to improve their living environment.  A well-planned kitchen or bath affects daily living.  Functionality makes meal preparation more enjoyable and more efficient.  A well-planned layout saves space and is customized to individual requirements. This saves time! The kitchen has become the family and friends gathering place and fine finishes enhance everyone’s enjoyment.  The new materials industry engineers have developed are low maintenance and more sanitary than ever before.  Big windows that provide natural light and an attractive, functional kitchen improves one’s life!

What can customers look forward to when working with you?

Designing a kitchen or bath is a team effort. It involves the homeowner, the designer, and the installer. We all need to communicate well with each other to produce the best results. I like to shepherd the process along to ensure success.

What does “Experience that Builds” mean to you?

Every day we learn something new. This keeps us fresh and on top of our game. Over time, this builds to a great body of knowledge that benefits our customers and Mid Cape.

Anything else you would like to add or would like customers to know about you?

I like to study history, particularly World War Two. Genealogy and Historic Preservation are passions of mine. They bring history to life and make it personal.
